Why You Should Go Green...

(Picture from here)
Happy spring!
Or winter that is if you're in England, we're having a lovely winter this spring! *sigh*
While i've been absent, i have started a new habit.. drinking green tea! Now, if you haven't heard green tea is good for then i hope the rock you've been living under is damn good! We all get told green tea is good for us and we all know it is, however not many of us make a habit of drinking it which is a shame.
In the past i'd tried green tea, but i didn't really like it, a couple month ago i decided to give it another go, and whatever it was, this time i did actually didn't mind it. So now i've replaced my normal tea with green tea.
Many people drink green tea purely because of its benefits not because of how it tastes but personally, i love the taste of it!
So what are the actual benefits of green tea?
It Helps Burn Fat by increasing your metabolism because its antioxidants help the liver to function better. Although it might not make you look like a supermodel in five days, it can be a boost to use with a healthy exercise routine.
Helps Protect Against Heart Disease And Diabetes green tea has been shown to lower cholesterol as well as protecting against diabetes because of the enzymes it has.
It also helps Protect Against Bad Breath And Tooth Decay, green tea can destroy bacteria that causes tooth decay as well as sore throats because it is an anti-bacterial agent.
And last of all it can help Reduce Wrinkles And Signs Of Ageing this is because of its antioxidants and anti-inflammatory activities which slow down ageing and help protect against skin cancer.

These are obviously not all the benefits green tea has, just a few. Personally i've only noticed the improvements on my skin since i've been drinking it however the rest of the benefits aren't exactly visible.
The green tea i drink is Lord Nelson, but i don't really see a difference in brands to be honest.
I hope you do try green tea because the benefits are great! Do you drink green tea? If you do, tell me what you think of it below!

It might take a little while so i'm just asking for you guys to bear with me. I hope you understand and if not, i totally get it and you can unfollow me but you would be missing out;)

Again, im sorry! If you want anything specific for me to blog about please comment below and i will try my hardest to post it!

Homemade Gifts...

Hello Everyone!
As you've all noticed it is getting closer and closer to Christmas and it's round about the time all the sales are going to be on which means, cheap gifts! Now i know the main part of Christmas isn't giving gifts but it is a little fun! I love going and shopping for gifts but what i love most is making them! I love it when someone has made me a gift that's took thought and effort and they haven't just bought something they thought was nice.
So i thought it'd be a great idea to do a post giving you ideas on DIY Christmas gifts if you want to make them yourself this year or just something to have just in case you cant find that perfect gift for someone.
Here are a couple idea's that i have got from Pinterest, none of these pictures are my own!

(Picture from here)
Homemade Scrubs! Now, as you all know, i am a massive fan of homemade beauty products and when i saw this picture i thought it'd be perfect for a Dad, Uncle or Granddad. Of course if you want to make one for your mum you could still do it! There are millions of body/hand scrub recipes out there and there is also my Homemade Coffee Scrub which you can check out!

(Picture from here)
This was another cute gift idea, which you could give to anyone friend or family. they're a bunch of cards that you make with free 'passes'. Then your friends can use them to ask for something for free. I think this is a great gift, just make sure not to put something you're not ready to do on one of the cards!

(Picture from here)
This is a gift i have yet got to try! However it seems like such a smart gift! Its also very personal since you can add whatever you want to it, a special quote, a special moment, or just something cute that you think of them! I will defiantly try this out and let you guys know!

(Picture form here)
If you want to get someone something you know they will like, then you can't go wrong with food! I mean lets face it, who doesn't love food? If the person you're getting a gift for has a favorite sweet or type of food, you can fill up a basket with it, i'm sure they'll love it. You can also go a step further by actually making the food, but of course make sure to try them first, we wouldn't like to kill anyone now would we?;)

These are just some idea's for you, you don't have to make your own gift, but it would be nice and special! Something else i like is wrapping paper, and i particularly like it when people use newspaper, it is free and looks quite good!

(Picture from here)
Also while i was on Pinterest, i saw a picture which made me laugh, if you go on Pinterest and you decide to make one of there gifts i'm sure you'll find this picture funny!
(Picture from here)
Hope you enjoyed this post! Don't forget to tell me if you're going to try any of these gifts in the comments section! Also i would like to thank each and everyone of you for getting me to 300 followers! It is like my early Christmas gift! :)

Scenes from my absence...

(Picture from here)
Again, again, im so sorry i was absent for a month! Everything's been so busy, and genuinely  i think i needed a break from blogging but now i'm back! I thought i'd write a little more personal post today, since a while back in the weekly #bbloggers chat alot of people said they'd like more personal posts aside from the usual.
While i was away, in England was half term and for a few days me and my parents went away to Rome in Italy. It was a great experience  Although we were only there for the days, we visited alot of attractions! We were walking for over 5 hours every day! When we came back, it literally hurt to sit down, all our legs were aching! The best part of it, i've got to say were the Spanish Steps, some people that have been might disagree with me and say they weren't that big of a deal, but i loved the fact it was so busy! i saw so many people, and it was just great watching all the tourists from different countries enjoying Italy! While i was there i took a couple pictures...

Hope you enjoyed this post! If you like more personal posts please comment below and i'll definatly do more of them! If not, don't worry, i'll have a normal post up within a couple days!;p

Karen Gillan Style...

(Picture from here)
Hello Beauties! Today's post is going to be another style post, this time about Karan Gillan! Some of you might already know her, if you don't, she's a Scottish actress best known for being the recent Doctor's companion (for people who watch Doctor Who, how sad was the last episode?!?!) Her fashion sense is amazing  i love all the clothes she wears, she has a sort of.. chic-laid back-glamorous type of style which i adore! Another thing i love about her, is her hair! Its just gorgeous! Her hair is such a lovely colour, she's a natural redhead. Now, Back to her fashion sense, she always knows what to wear without being overboard but still eye catching! Here are some of the clothes shes worn...

New Oasap Goodies!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry i've been away for so long! However, im back now! This post is going to be about my recent purchases from Oasap, if you haven't checked out my last post then you should have a look, especially if you're a fashion blogger!
The first item i bought is, an Angel Wing Ring (in my defense, i had a rhyming lesson today!) These are adorable! I absolutely love them because they look really 'chic' paired with any outfit! I also love how they have a slight vintage look to them which makes them look even better! The size of this ring is adjustable which is great, and you can buy it from here.

The second item which i bought are the Eagle Claw Earrings, now these are absolutely gorgeous! They are something i have never seen before which i why i bought them the minute i saw them! They are such a unique style, they basically look like a claw is grabbing onto your ears once you wear them! I received alot of nice comments about them, they're really cute but a little fiddly when putting on, but you get used to them! You can get it from here.

I bought these item's with the credit i receive from Oasap, if you want to know how that works, check out my last Oasap post! I hope you enjoyed this post and dont forget to visit the Oasap Website

Yin-Yang

Hello Beauties!
Today's post is going to be about the Chinese sign Yin-Yang, you've probably seen this sign before and know what it means however if you don't, i'll explain a little bit.. The outer circle of Yin-Yang represents 'everything'. The black and white shapes represent two energies one called Yin (black) one called Yang (white) which causes everything to happen, as you can see they are not completely black or white, just as everything in life is nor completely black nor white, Ying and Yang cannot exist without each other, just as good and bad cannot exist without each other in life.
As you see this sign has a very strong meaning behind it, which is one of the reasons i bought the necklace and earring in the picture above. I got the necklace for £5 and the earrings for £1.50 both from Republic, and i can easily say they are my current favorite items of jewelry, personally i wouldn't pay £5 for a necklace unless i fall in love with it! I love the Yin-Yang sign, and i also love that you can wear it as clothing! You can pretty much put the sign on anything and it still looks great! Here are some examples below...

I think its lovely how you can wear the Yin-Yang sing, its a really nice look! I love the shorts in the picture above! They're my favorite and if i see them anywhere i'll defiantly buy them! Do you have any items of clothing with the Yin-Yang sing on? If so comment below! Oh and also tell me if you enjoyed this post!

My Recent Reads...

Hey Guys!
Today i'm doing a slightly different post! As you can tell its not beauty related, but book related... I never used to read, but since i've gotten older i've realized reading is one of the best you can do! So now, I love to read books! I've recently read two books that are amazing!
The first one is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, Now i've heard about this book alot, its pretty well known. So i decided to buy it and i made a deal with myself that once i'd read the book i'd have to watch the movie (of course this decision wasn't made because Daniel Craig was in the film, nope, not at all...) Anyway, to review this book without giving anything away is pretty hard, so this will be a quick summery/review of the book.
Stieg Larsson, has wrote a wonderful thriller! Plot, Character, Intelligence, Romance, Murder, Mystery, Family saga, all this in one book! When i first started this book, the first three chapters or so were not exactly exiting me, they were mostly mumbo jumbo about newspapers and journalism, nothing related to the main plot, however once you get past those chapters, you immediately become hooked! I just couldn't put the book down after that! Its the first book in the millennium trilogy and i've already bought the second. If i had to compare this book to the film, well i would definitely pick the book, even thought Daniel Craig is in the film!

The second book i read was The Night Stalker by Chris Carter I found this book when i was just browsing online at waterstones, and i read the blurb and since i'm addicted to murder mystery, this book sounded perfect for me! Its about a detective who's investigating the horrific (when i say this, i mean HORRIFIC) murders of young woman, now i don't want to say much about this because this book is not for people who are squeamish! The book goes into great detail about the murders, but in my opinion if you can watch CSI without looking away, then this book might be fine for you.
As soon as i started reading this book, i became addicted! You're imminently hooked from the first terrible murder! You want to keep reading to find out who did it, why, how, when! This book is quite fast paced.. something happens in every chapter and the last sentence is either a cliffhanger or a bomb.. literally, you'll get me if you've read it! If you're not squimish and you love a little fright and terror, this is the book for you! Chris Carter is an amazing writer, and i thank him for writing this book!

I know this post is a little different and i enjoyed writing it, so please tell me if you would like more of these off topic posts? Hope you enjoyed this! Oh and if you've read any of these books then defiantly tell me what you thought of them below!

Oriflame Oxygen Boost*

Hello Beauties!
I promised a post would be up in a few days and here it is! In this post i will be reviewing items i received from Oriflame, a company founded in Sweden. I've got to be honest i had never herd of this company before and didn't know whether to review these items or not however a blogger who uses these products on a regular occasion, gave me great feedback so i couldn't resist!

The Oriflam Optimals Oxygen Boost range is designed to help protect your skin from normal everyday pollution which can stress out your skin and cause an enormous amount of break outs (and lets face it, no one wants to wake up in the morning with a pimple the size of your nose on your forehead!) They also say that the formula detoxifies your skin while keeping it hydrated.

Oriflam Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Cream £8.95
The first item i'm going to talk about is The Oriflam Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Cream (wow, thats a mouthful!)  Now to sum this cream up in one word would be amazing! My skin is oily, dry, sensitive, normal, its very combined which can be very hard to work with. My biggest problem is flackey skin... whatever i do i cant get rid of it, but this cream worked wonders! My skin was super hydrated and on top of that it had a gorgeous healthy glow! This cream isnt very thick but it also isn't very runny, its a normal cream consistency, there's also no significant smell to it either. I dont feel as though this cream helps my spots at all but it does do a very good job at giving my face a hydrated boost. So if you only worry about dry skin and not acne then this is the cream for you.
I apply this cream on every day before my make up and every night after washing my face. I would give this cream a 5/5
You can Click here if you want to buy this cream online.

Optimals Oxygen Boost Eye Cream £7.95
The next cream is the Oriflame Optimals Oxygen Boost Eye Cream. I dont get many under eye circles but i do have some puffiness in the morning and this eye cream helps eliminate them. Again this cream doesn't have much of a smell, but the consistency is a little thinner than the face cream which i think is great because im not a fan of thick eye creams. Apart from reducing puffiness around my eyes i don't feel as though this cream does any much... I only apply this cream in the morning since i don't feel the need to apply it at night. I would give this cream a 4/5
This cream is available online at Oriflame

Oriflam Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Mask £8.45
The last product i received was The Oriflam Optimals Oxygen Boost Face Mask. This product was my least favorite of all, the reason is because i don't think it did much. Apart from making my skin feel softer after using it, it didnt really do much more. I have to say i was a little disappointed since i loved both the face cream and eye cream. The directions on this mask is to apply it and leave it for 10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. What i also didn't like about this mask is that its not a peel off, I always prefer peel off masks and only make exceptions if the mask works wonders and unfortunately i wont be able to make an exception for this product...
I would rate this a 2/5 since it did hydrate my skin and make it smooth but not much more. To buy this product from Oriflame click here.

I would like to thank Oriflame for the products! The face cream is now my favorite product to use in the morning! I hope you enjoyed this post and as always my opinions were honest. Have you ever used Oriflame before? If so comment below your thoughts!
Dont forget to give a visit to the Oriflame site.
